Definitive Decision for Liberty: Celebrate Independence Day | Showers’ Blessing Inspires

independencedayAs we celebrate another Fourth of July, or more appropriately, America’s Independence Day. As we celebrate this holiday that echoes of the freedoms we now enjoy and in many instances take for granted, we must remember those courageous and fearless men who embarked on a quest to establish a colony in which the people were no longer subjected to the limited leadership of Great Britain. These men made a definitive decision to fight for their belief in a true free colony even at the face of death. On July 4, 1776, they signed their names in an act of unity of a definitive decision to pursue those freedoms.

Freedom requires decision. Freedom requires change. Freedom requires boldness and courage. Freedom requires relationship with God. Freedom requires faith and a commitment to the His Word. Freedom requires celebrating because our forefathers in America knew that the Word of God is liberating and they set out to provide us with those rights to pursue our dreams and live the abundant life God envisioned for us.

He whom the Son sets free is free indeed. His desires, even from the beginning of time, were for us to be free. He has set us free; we must be bold in that freedom. When you are emancipated in Christ your whole mindset changes to reflect that freedom.

You no longer feel you are inferior or superior to anyone because you understand that we are all the same and have been divinely and uniquely created to be free. You realize that it is your definitive decisions that bring about your absolute freedom. Our indecision is what prevents us from experiencing the fullness of the dreams and desires God placed inside of us. Fear paralyzes us from acting on these freedoms and doing what we need to do in order to be successful.

Just like Fourth of July is in honor of America’s independence, each of us needs to celebrate our independence from past habits and practices as we move confidently towards a victorious future. Freedom of the bad habits and negatives thoughts is paramount if you ever want to live a liberated life.

There comes and time and the time is now, when you make the decision to be free. You make the decision that no one and nothing is going to prevent you from attaining your goals. Your mindset is liberated because you no longer will allow cobwebs of defeat to reside there anymore.

Establishing goals without checks and balances is like setting yourself up for defeat. It is these checks and balances that enable you to ascertain your true commitment and your progress. It forces you to re-examine your deficiencies and institute measures to overcome them. Conversely, it is also a time to celebrate victories. Take a bold stand against prejudice attitudes that try to prevent you from not only the freedoms inherent in the Declaration of Independence, but your ultimate freedoms inherent in the Word of God.

Embrace and celebrate your indubitable rights of freedom. It begins when you make a decision to be free to explore and become all God envisioned.

PRAYER

I celebrate my independence on my journey to victory. Teach me daily how to use Your wisdom principles in overcoming obstacles and self-defeating habits as I embrace and celebrate freedom. Each day I embrace my unalienable rights to an abundant life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Daily I apply Your Word along with my constitutional rights that propel me into absolute freedom that exceeds the limitations of this world. Amen
