Father, I will not be consumed with anxiety and allow the weight of worry to drag me down. Every day I refuse to be sad. I refuse to fret. I refuse to worry about what may or may not be. I simply refuse to be anxious. I rejoice with exceeding joy because this is the day You’ve created for me to experience success and be victorious in everything I endeavor to do. Amen. #showersblessing #prayersforsuccess

As a young girl playing hide and seek, sometimes there would be a box large enough to hide in. You would climb into the box, close the top so you wouldn’t be found. You had confidence in knowing that you had successfully deceived the person looking for you. Oftentimes, you could hear their footsteps; totally clueless that you were right there. Until they found you hidden in that box, you didn’t have to deal with the consequences.
In our quest to understand who we are and why God created us, it means we have to be willing to deal with all the things we have carefully hidden in a box. Sometimes this is a hard thing to do because we don’t always want to look at those things we have neatly tucked into a box and placed on a shelf to collect dust. Over time the box gets pushed to the back of the closets of our lives until you no longer can see it. Or, you think you no longer see it. Sometimes you look for it and can’t find it until the perfect time when you are ready to deal with its contents.
As you sift through the stuff tucked away you experience so many memories—some good and some not so good. To move forward you have to take the time to sift through those things that have limited you. Some of the things you will be reticent to let go; and that is okay. Eventually you will have the courage to release them so you can move forward. But, some of the contents will testify of the overcoming power of God and you will hold on to them to remind you of God’s faithfulness.
What is interesting is that as you rummage through the contents, you begin to realize that the person who tucked that box away no longer exists. In most instances, you emerge more mature, confident and capable. You see, God never meant for you to hide in a box. So, courageously and confidently dust off the box, take its lid off with overwhelming expectation and experience the incomprehensible possibilities God has for you.
Are you tired of being in the box? Are you ready to experience the exceedingness of your potential? We’d like to know…
